Over the years we have been so lucky to grow Farmer's Daughter Fibers, with the stress of doing everything on my own for the first 2 years it was an immediate relief when we were able to bring on team members. And at the same time we are creating careers in our community, something that is surreal to me! I still come up with the new colorways and experiment with colors, but the everyday credit goes to our amazing dye team!

How long have you been at FDF? March of 2018
What is your favorite part of your job? Coffee breaks! Really the freedom in being self employed and living our life in such a unique way.
Least favorite part of your job? Rinsing yarn. The way we dye and volume, it's physically exhausting. I feel lucky we have been able to build a team to help with some of that.
Favorite color to dye? Mango Margarita
What do you do outside of work for fun? Hunt, Ride Dirt Bikes, Raft, and Camp with the family.

How long have you been at FDF? The summer of 2018!
What is your favorite part of your job? The people I work with!
Least favorite part of your job? Zip tying! We do this to the yarn before we dye, so it doesn't get tangled. But it is an incredibly tedious job.
Favorite color to dye? Gary Cooper, always and forever!
What do you do outside of work for fun? Knit! And hang out with my dogs.

What is your favorite part of your job? Seeing the process and the finished product.
Least favorite part of your job? Getting soaked.

What do you do outside of work for fun? I love to draw and play video games. (everyone chimes in that Katie is a master gamer)

What is your favorite part of your job? I am getting ripped! I love that I get to do something artistic.
Least favorite part of your job? Rinsing Yarn.

What do you do outside of work for fun? Make music, play guitar, and hang out with my pet snake.
Sumo & Kima English
How long have you been at FDF? My dad starting bringing us once my Mom left to the downtown store.
What is your favorite part of your job? Sumo- getting snuggles from everyone, all day. Kima- Being the boss bitch I was always meant to be.
Least favorite part of your job? Sumo- when a pot drops and scares the crap out of me. Kima- The pack of squirrels that torment me 9 months of the year.
What do you do outside of work for fun? Sumo - Go for runs on the river and snuggle with my Mom in her bed. Kima- Hunt, go for runs, chase the neighborhood rabbits, cats, squirrels, and raccoons.
