Description
This shawl was originally published in Making Magazine's Issue #10 / Intricate. The inspiration for this reversible shawl came from the concept of “intricate,” which I interpreted as fascinating, eye-catching, intriguing, and playful.
The shawl features a stitch pattern that creates a lot of texture and negative space and makes the knitting experience engaging and fun. At the same time, the pattern is easy to remember and execute.
This pattern has a Dk weight and Fingering weight verison.
Recommended Needle Size: US 2 (2.75 mm) For Fingering & US 3 (3.25 mm) For Dk
Yarns we recommend using are:
Soka'pii
Bear Paw Dk
Craggy Tweed
Juicy Dk
Juicy Dk Speckles
You can find the pattern on Ravelry.
Notes: This triangular shawl is worked sideways, starting from the right tip and ending with the left tip. While it is not essential to do a gauge swatch before casting on, I recommend steam-blocking the first 6”/15 cm of your knitting to ensure you like the fabric’s feel. It should be fairly loose and flowy.
