Meet the Flyaway Sweater designed by Rebecca Woelber, one of four featured designs in our Gathering Season: Migration collection as well as our very first in-house sweater design from Farmers Daughter Fibers. This cozy, classic pullover is designed to feel like an old favorite from the very first wear. This is a sweater for long drives beneath big skies, chilly mornings, campfire nights, and all the little everyday moments in between. A true Farmers Daughter Fibers heirloom, made to be worn, loved, and reached for again and again.
Knit with our Bear Paw DK and Oh Dang! DK held together, it creates a fabric that is warm, cozy, and wrapped in the soft, luminous halo only Suri alpaca and silk can bring. The Flyaway Sweater features a relaxed silhouette, gently shaped textured raglan yoke, generous ribbed neckline, cuffs, and hem, plus an easy fit that makes it just as lovely layered over a dress as it is paired with your most lived-in jeans. Knit from the top down, this design lets you try on as you go and customize your fit with optional waist and hip shaping. This is one of those pieces that looks just as good in your lounging in your living room as it does out in the world.
This kit is comprised of 5 to 10 dreamy skeins (depending on your size) of Farmers Daughter Fibers Bear Paw DK - 20% Yak, 20% Silk, 60% SW Merino, 231 yds / 211 m per 100 g skein and 3 to 5 skeins (depending on your size)of Oh Dang! Dk - 90% Suri Alpaca, 10% Silk, 246 yds / 225 m per 100 g skein.
