Meet the Holy Sheep Shawl Kits! Pattern designed by Brienne Moody and one of two featured designs in our  Gathering Seasons ~ Preparation Collection for Sacred Sheep. 

The final chapter of Gathering Season, Preparation, celebrates the quiet stretch before winter. Perfect for beginners and seasoned knitters alike, it's a fun knit you won't be able to put down. This shawl was designed for that dark, atmospheric time between the glowing October days and the bright white days in January. Late fall is a time of final preparation for the cold, often threatening weather ahead. And this project invites you to trust your instinct to be dry, warm and fed, with wool in your lap and insulating your body. Holy Sheep is a shoulder season garment in every way. It's meant to be worked simply in your favorite colors then layered over your shoulders and tucked into your coat.

Brienne Moody’s Holy Sheep Shawl is built one mitered square at a time, each joined as you go, so the whole project fits in a project bag and rewards you with a quick finish every few rows. Nine garter-stitch squares come together into a bold patchwork center, then sweep out into long striped wings finished with a crisp applied I-cord edge.

We’ve paired our Pishkun with Spincycle's new True Worsted Dreamstate, letting the soft, grounded tones of our bouncy and lush 2-ply Montana and Wyoming raised Rambouillet wool play against Dream State’s punchy pops of color. It’s a perfect project for stolen minutes, and the included square map keeps you on track from the first cast-on to the final bind-off.

**Please note that the shawl plus a gauge swatch used almost the entire skein of MC. If you knit a big swatch, tend to knit loosely, or want peace of mind, you may want to consider buying a second skein of Pishkun.
