The Aunties Cowl is inspired by Joy. After spending the summer of ‘21 with the theme of embracing joy consciously and consistently, I had visions of a pattern that was full of delicate fun loving shapes. Joy is also one of my many aunties and throughout the design my mind kept wandering back to them. The joy that they bring to the world despite hardship and the joy they instilled in me to always live by. That laughter is medicine.
You cast on using a provisional cast-on and knit in the round. Then twisted once before being seamed together using the kitchener stitch for a mobius style cowl. The colorwork of this cowl needs just the right amount of attention (just enough to zone out and not get bored) and is an addictive little knit!
