Bird Song by Julie Fleet

The Yarn

We really loved the part of the story where Katherena goes to Agnes’s house and is working on a pot that’s round and bright. ‘She tells me about waxing and waning moons. I tell her about Cree seasons. This month is called pimihawipisim - the migrating moon’. On the next page you see the ‘moon and two shiny seasgulls. And there go the geese’. We wanted to represent both the sky and the moody hills.

The yarn we choose this month is Pintler Sock which would be great for socks, mittens or to use in any Fingering weight colorwork project!
