For our guest editor, they are a perfect symbol of this contrast and , for her, they really highlight the soft elements of the American West.

With a cable panel adorning the back and comfortable stocking stitch on the palm, these mittens speak to the reality of living among the elements in a beautiful and practical way.

Badger Creek mittens are knit in the round beginning at the cuff. They feature a cable panel on the back of hand, and Stocking stitch on the palm. The thumb gusset is increased, then thumb stitches are placed on hold. The hand is completed, and the thumb is worked last.
