Andrea wowed us with the cozy, squishy Ooey Gooey Sweater for Rhinebeck this year. She’s gone and done it again, but this time, it’s a cowl version!
It’s knit in a tube, worked in the round, given a little twist, and then grafted together with the Kitchener stitch, super fun and satisfying.
The version of the cowl is Knit up in Spinster's Daughter Sport and Oh Dang! held double, if you're more into solids! This fluffy little number is everything you want in a cold-weather accessory; soft and cloudlike. If you loved the sweater but want something a little speedier this one’s for you!
Andrea's quick note on gauge: this is one of those rare times where row gauge matters more than stitch gauge. The cowl is worked to a specific number of rows so the colorwork lines up just right. If your row gauge is on point, you’re golden; even if your stitch gauge is a tiny bit off (that’ll just make your cowl a smidge taller or shorter).
Kits come with 1 skein of Spinster's Daughter Sport and 2 skeins of Spincycle's Dyed in the Wool - Please note that the pattern calls for exactly 1 skeins of Spinster's Daughter Sport so you may run out if your gauge is drastically different.
