The offerings cowl is the lastest FDF design! Inspired by the Ki'piaapi flowers of the Prairie and embodiment of both individual uniqueness with the enduring support of our
ancestors.
This cowl has 2 versions and is knit out of Recollect or Reminisce Sport, Dyed in the Wool and Oh Dang!
In version 1 (purple and cream) we used Oh Dang! held Double (CC3) for the Ki’piaapi Flowers, and Dyed in the Wool (CC2) for the Chevron and Diamond sections. For the lace section we held the Oh Dang Double. This was twisted before Kitchener stitch for a möbius wrap.
For Version 2 we used Dyed in the Wool (CC3) and Recollect (CC1) for the entire colorwork section. You can manage your Spincycle to have specific colors for the flowers and stems or just let the skein flow like we did. We intended the colorwork to be a creative outlet and joyful way to play with yarn.
Version 1 Kit includes: 2 skeins of Recollect/Reminisce Sport, 1 skein of Dyed in the Wool, and 2 skeins of Oh Dang! Version 1 makes the Ki'piaapi flowers out of Oh Dang!
Version 2 Kit includes: 2 skeins of Recollect/Reminisce Sport, 2 skeins of Dyed in the Wool, and 1 skein of Oh Dang. Version makes the Ki'piaapi flowers out of Dyed in the Wool.
Kits include a Ravelry Download Code to the Offerings Cowl, this code will ship with the kit.
