Turn a sock tube into a finished sock.  You will learn how to pick up stitches in a sock tube, measure your foot for a great fit, place the heels and toes, and how to kitchener everything together.  

Skills needed: Knit, purl, little bit of bravery (we’re cutting into that tube)

Date and Time: November 7th & 14th @5pm - Please note this is a two session class so please make sure that you are able to attend both classes.

Price: $45 + materials

Materials (not included): 

  • A sock tube.  You can purchase one here.  For most women's size feet, we recommend the 60 cylinder size tubes found here.
  • Sock yarn for heel toes and cuffs.  Any sock yarn will work (be sure that there is nylon in the blend) and you will need approximately 20 grams.  Mini skeins are available for purchase in the shop.  
  • At least two, Size US 1, 2.25mm sock needles, recommend 32 inches length
  • Lightbulb stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle
  • Sock ruler if you have one or other measuring tape
  • Your regular knitting kit

All items can be purchased in store prior to the start of class, but please leave time to get the mini skein wound into a cake. 

CLASS POLICY

  • Payment must be paid in full to reserve your place. Discount codes may not be redeemed for classes.
  • In the event that you need to cancel, you must provide us with notice 48 hours in advance to receive a refund or store credit.
  • Classes must have a minimum of 3 people.  If there are not 3 people registered 24 hours prior, the class will be canceled and you will receive a full refund for the class fee.  
  • No shows will forfeit the class fee, without a refund or credit.
  • Please arrive at class on time. Supplies, including book or pattern, must be purchased prior to class date. Especially if you need to have your yarn wound.
  • Come prepared! We want to make the most of our classroom time.
